Motherboard
motherboard is the most important part of computer. In which all the necessary equipment are connected. Includes CPU, RAM, HDD, Monitor, BIOS, CMOS, Mouse and keyboard etc. connected via Dedicated Ports. The motherboard delivers power supply to these devices and makes communication among themselves.
The motherboard is a plastic sheet in which various ports are made to connect the equipment. Connection of The each port is solder to the motherboard. Which we can also see with our eyes.

Serial port
Serial ports are used to connect additional modems and older mice. These Ports come in two models 9 Pin and 25 Pin.
Parallel Port
Scanners & Printers are connected in these ports. It consists of Ports 25 Pin. They are also called Printer Port.
PS / 2 Port
These ports are round in shape. They connect the mouse and keyboard. Nowadays these ports are used very rarely.
USB Ports
There is USB (Universal Serial Bus). All types of USB devices such as mouse, keyboards, printers, hard disks etc. can be connected by USB ports and their data transfer capability is much faster and more.
VGA Port
Performs the task of connecting Computer Monitor

Power connector
A Power Connector is used to connect the motherboard to Power. Power does not go directly to the motherboard. It first goes to the SMPS and then reaches the motherboard.
Modem port
Modem Port is used to connect the computer to the Internet. It is somewhat like a USB port.
External ports
These ports are used to connect one computer to another. Network cable is added to them.
Game port
Game ports are used to connect Game Consoles and Joystics. However, nowadays USB ports have started being used in their place.
DVI Port
DVI (Digital Video Interface). DVI Port is used to connect Flat Panel Monitors i.e. LCD, LED to computer.
Sockets
Sockets are used to connect Speakers and Microphones to computers. They are round and small.
